The stressed metal effect visible on the photos of the test shots (see HyperScale) has left me speechless.

And its a feature that is very noticeable on the real aircraft especially when viewed from different angles and lighting conditions. The oil can effect is something I hope we get to see more of in the months and years to come in other kits.

Hi! Do you have a link to the photos of that test shot? Cheers!

This kit will send ripples through space-time of the modeling universe! 🙂
Good to see WNW making the step to WW2 aircraft.
Never built a WNW kit, but their reputation is already legendary

Looks like they really upped the ante. Maybe we will even see realistic panel lines one day - I find neither the raised nor the recessed variety particularly convincing.

Good luck if you ever need to sand that skin.
Sanded raised panel lines? 'No problem sand them all off and rescribe'
Sanded recessed lines? 'Just rescribe them'

this kit seems completely insane.... i wish i could have the space for it!!!

@Martin Oostrom:
>> Good luck if you ever need to sand that skin.
How much sanding do you expect do to on a >300$ kit by Wingnut Wings?
🙂

In my case; I always seem to have some excess glue in places I don't want it. The kit can't help that 😉

@Martin Oostrom: Correct. How could I possibly forget about that, considering my nickname? 😉

Gluey, I guess because of this: scalemates.com/whatsnew.php?topic=3677644 😄

@Martin Oostrom: Correct again. We're only in it for the glue fumes. If we weren't we would all be buildung Artesania Latina wood models with white glue (which, BTW, would not require sanding to remove).

@ Kees
The Lancaster will probably be the only WWII kit which WNW is doing for the upcoming future.
Peter Jackson and the Lancaster are not a new topic at all and have kind of a history😉
And btw what did you expect from a kit which has a development time for over eight years now.
