Great pity about the San Diego. Because Matchbox ships were the least popular, after aircraft, AFV's and then cars/bikes, relatively few were built and they can be something of a rarity nowadays. The 1/700 scale was also sufficiently different from the 'standard' Airfix scale of 1/600, to put people, (like me) off collecting them. FROG had theirs in 1/500 and the Japanese manufacturers, using 1/700 and 1/350, were even more rare, back in the day.
As a consequence, it'll be good to see this built up, as it was supposed to have been.

Most work is done... only the masts and the heli have to be added and a little water of course.... 🙂

Hi Robert, there is no comparison between the kit mast and PE part. But what are we talking about, the kit is from 197?. Always good to see somebody building one of these old kits, and your HMS Tiger looks pretty good. Cheers, Christian

Absolutly right, Christian. The kit itself fits well and is a good base.
Getting closer to the end. One layer clear paint and the base and I'm done 🙂
