Thank you everyone. gorbygould- I was not able to ever meet Welby as he passed before my time. This was a dedication for his four children and their families. Welby was killed in action in April, 1951 during an interception mission on the California coast. ( San Pablo Bay ) . I built the diorama and put a book together outlining his service, the accident and honoring the fact that he gave the most any man or women could ever give in serving this great county. I see post on this site from all of you guys with some incredible skills sets. I have along way to go with my modeling skills, but doing projects like this, drives me to do the best job I can. I watch you guys and learn from you : )
