In the Airfix instructions it says number 27 but I have decided on RLM 2. Maybe not prototypical but it seems ok. 🙂

Started to progress a little more, filler was required in the nose for a better fit. Wing guns now fitted.

@ David Januska, David, you are right, the interior should be RLM 66 and not RLM 02. Will be changing before I move on with this! Thank you for your earlier advice. 🙂

There were many variants so it is hard to say what is good and what not. But now I'm expert on AK Real colors air😉 and I've purchased also collection for luftwaffe interior colors and it seemed to me it was darker. So if it helped I'm glad.

Hi Guy, is the kit worth buying? Given there are several similar models. Thanks.

@ Roland, welcome and thanks for watching 🙂 @ Diego DH, Although I have had some issues with the fitting (and others have as well), other mates haven't. I do have to say that the kit is well detailed and probably, it is my mistakes that have caused the filling. 🙂

Finally complete.
Jagdgeschwader 301 (JG 301) was a Luftwaffe fighter-wing of World War II. The order to form JG 301 was issued on 26 September 1943 and formed on 1 October 1943 in Neubiberg with Stab and three Gruppen (groups) as a "Wilde Sau" (wild boar) single-seat night fighter unit.
By April 1945, JG 301 was based around Hagenow, Neustadt and Ludwigslust.

super conclusion to a super build!!, how was the 'fix?....did it go together well?

Many thanks Andy 🙂 The fuselage was a difficult fit at the front and then when the nose (and propeller) were added, this appeared to force the front of the fuselage apart. Please note that if you wish to have the pilot in your build, ensure you put him in his seat before you glue the fuselage together as he will not fit in through the open cockpit. All in all a nice model to build and an improvement on the old Airfix tool. 🙂
