Overall yes it's a great kit and worth building. Bad points; the multi-part lower gondola position is a bit fiddly to get right and dive brakes are solid so you have to paint out the gaps, but this is understandable given the price point of the kit. Good points; the cockpit detail is great for 1/72, good recessed detail and clever construction of the gun positions allowing them to be installed at the end, avoiding being knocked off during the build. So in short, the kit produces a lovely Battle of Britain era Ju88.

I know about ultra-detailed cockpit assemblies!, if you haven't already done so, Airfix's Do-17 is beautifully detailed, but the ventral gondola area is a nightmare to fit too, sometimes think the detail is way too much for the scale asked of it!

Yes I've built the airfix Do-17 and agree it's well detailed in the cockpit and probably a bit too complicated for the scale. I also found the fit was bad in places like the gondola so had to make lots of adjustments! It's a balancing act at 1/72, as moulding technology means some parts end up a bit chunky. This Revell Ju88 does a decent job of walking that line (gondola aside).

Great job!! I have this one in my stash. I see that you have chosen a different plane other than the 2 versions that come in the marking instructions.
