Been neglecting updates on this one. Chassis coming together. Engine done. Carbon fiber decals attempted. Much patience and practice will be needed to master those. Really struggled. Body came out nice though. Happy with that.

Looks great so far! As Robert already asked, what colors did you use for the body? 😉

Hey Robert, thanks. I believe this is Tamiya TS-17 gloss aluminum. Have to double check which can of silver I grabbed but I think it's that one.
Welcome Stéphane and thank you Villiers and Jv!

Well this kit is probably superior to me but it's good practice for some other extra detail builds I want to do down the line. Chassis, interior both done and mated, along with the engine and brakes. Carbon decals installed and destroyed. 😂 But, as I say, this build is just practice for those techniques. Overall I'm happy with how it's going. Just a big learning curve still. Running out of time tonight but it'll be done soon!

Hard to beat a hood old Tamiya sports car kit. No surprises in this one. Just engineering excellence. Should be done today.

Lol, that sounds very odd, when we are 5hrs in front of you 🙂 Obviously, I have no idea about these vehicles, but it does remind me of something designed for a soap box race, by some college or university? That being said, you got some excellent coverage on that shell. Rattle can guys definitely have a special technique, without doubt. Nice job Mr 👍

Today, tomorrow. Whenever. Lol. Aha! History time. My favorite. The college students would no doubt rejoice to hear that. 😂🤣. In 1989 they won Le Mans and just about every other endurance race in group C. The car I'm building did not win Le Mans but did record a speed of some 248 mph (sorry everyone for the mph, I'm an Indycar guy 🤷🏻♂️😂) down the Mulsanne straight. This courtesy of a 5.0 L twin turbo Mercedes V8 producing around 800 hp. Makes a lovely noise.
Additionally I am very pleased with the paint myself, so thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated. It is done now. Final photos incoming.

Dude, it's gonna cost you a fortune in timber, for shelving. You're knocking these out, faster than a lot lizard, turning tricks! Nicely accomplished though, without doubt 🙂

Thank you, and I know Bozzer. 😬 I don't know what I'm going to do with them!! But I can't seem to stop. Wintertime is the hardest because most of the rest of my hobbies are outdoors! You know, like racing. Lol. Need to read some books or something.

Na kyle love your builds lol
Keep building
And I love this model I think its a butiful car

Try dipping a Qtip in Microsol and pressing down on those tiresome tyre markings ( see what I did there? ; ) ) looks like your front tyre marking is trying to peel off.

Thanks Jv! It is indeed a beautiful machine.
Daniel, it's a fantastic kit. I cannot recommend it enough to anyway. Goes together exactly like it should.
Bossy 😂. I hate those stupid tire decals. I put another coat of dullcote over them after I took photos. Hopefully they lay down but if not, oh well.
