Kyle DeHart AutorOn a bit of a hatchback kick I guess. Haven't been good about keeping progress on this one but it's just a quick and simple build. Already nearing the end with no hiccups at all. This is a sweet little kit with not many parts mixed with plenty of details. Good fun. I didn't want to do the racecar that my boxing has on the art because it isn't really a racecar kit. The car on the box is a totally different year Golf even and has different wheels, a cage and so building that car wasn't happening. So, normal golf it is and in vivid green!! Only thing extra I've done is ignition wires.

TMM GarageMaking an ordinary Golf is the right decision👍, if you assemble the model as shown in the instructions it looks strange. An ordinary Golf but with racing stickers? This is a really bad decision from Revell.

Kyle DeHart AutorFinished this one tonight. Decided that an 85 Golf would probably be driven pretty hard so I wanted to practice some weathering on this. Just general dust and grime using various Tamiya weathering powders and washes. I'm pretty happy with how it all came out. I bought this kit off eBay because it was cheap and available but I'd totally build another one. It was an absolute blast and the fit was really nice. Great quick builder too as it doesn't have many parts.
