I'm a lifelong modeler my first kit I put together alone was the He219 from Revell when I was 9 and the kit was new. I build mostly in 1/72 but I do have a tendency to build 1/48 now and again. I also build 28mm sci-fi as it gives my a chance to use my imagination to it's fullest. I getting back into building after a 7 year "vacation", the fire to build went out.

I am retired from the US Navy as an First Class Aviation Ordnanceman, serving 20 years both on the active side and as a Reservist. I've worked around everything the Navy flew from 1979 through 1998. My last command was in HCS-5 (hence the name) the Firehawks working on the HH-60H. I served in the Firehawks predecessor unit HAL-5 the Bluehawks and worked on their HH-1K's. Because of this I have a love for the Huey and Seahawk, although I never heard our 60's called anything else but "Hotels". The pic I chose for my avatar was taken about a half hour before the end of the day's work and also my last day in the Navy.
