Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. D

Decided on a later war variant with the added armor plating to the front and sides and a dunkelgelb coat painted over the original dark grey. I tried out the sponge chipping method for the first time with this. I really wanted to rust this out and make it look like it's been around the block a few times. I used some Vallejo dark rust environment and AK Interactive streaking rust grime. Dusted some natural sienna pigment on top. For the age and price, you can't beat the surface detail and ease of building this kit. Very much enjoyed this one. 8/10
