B-24 With Escort
B-24D Liberator with Fighter Escort

Once I went to a scale-model shop with my 3 year old son, and while I was waiting for my purchase my son brought me this huge box, with this beautiful beast. I obviously admired his choice and a great taste, and bought the box, and decided, once plane is built, I'll hang it in son's room.

The idia is to build B-24D-70-CO 42-40563 Wongo Wongo (production block number) B-24D-70-CO of 512th Bomb Squadron, 376th Heavy Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force, with escort of 2 P-40s of 9th Air Force (of (57th, 79th or 324th fighting group)(most likely 79th). To hang them from the ceiling in a way that couple of P-40 in formation are escorting B-24 from a slightly higher altitude.

Or, since P-40 were not that great with altitude, which made them very questionable bomer escortiers, switch em up for 2 RAF Spitfires, who were regularly providing high altitude coverage for the USAF operations in the region.

3rd option is go full retard and nuts and build all of the above, and arrange it in a way: front/low => back/high => 2 P-40 - B-24 - 2 Spits. But in this case the frame for the hanging will be much bigger and more complicated.
