Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat, 1/48 scale, painted to represent the aircraft of Lt Ken Hildebrandt of VF-33, Ondonga, 1943. For what it's worth I'm calling her done.
Time for the glamour shots🙂.
Another shelf queen bought to a conclusion, and while I'm not entirely satisfied with the result I'm moving on.
It ended up being a bit of a disjointed build towards the end what with work and family commitments. The paint and weathering went on well enough, but I just couldn't master the look of those distinctive exhaust stains. Like i always try to keep in mind though, I'm aiming for completion, not perfection, so it'll do. Anyway, it's time to move on to something new.
