Thanks for looking at my progress. I know it is slow. I literally have had issues at many main steps. It might be best if I were to follow the directions.
Nah, what am I saying.
Currently the big issue is the distributor hits the firewall preventing assembly.

Everybody builds like he/she can. So there is no need for an excuse 🙂 If you take a look on my projects, there went much more time by. But I started a new kit - without a project so far....
I have to take a look under the hood of mine, whether there is a distributior or not. I can't remember.
My biggest issue was the paintjob. Bought it as junk, stripped the color, painted it in a kind of copper, failed, stripped it again and painted it dark pewter. Nevertheless: do your thing. So far it is pretty good.

I am the last person to judge Lane. I've never built a model before, and you would need a lot of hands to count all the mistakes I've made. To my untrained eye, it looks pretty good.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. The kit Distributor was too small to still and use the wires on if you ask me. But For the next kit I do have some wires pulled from a USB cord that will be a little smaller than needed. Scale may be perfect for 1:25/1:24.
I also did a bone head thing. I painted the chrome before I polished the body. That was a big no no. Well Upping a few more images. I can see the end in sight. Then I am starting to work on my outlaw Porsche for my Son.

I'm using cords out of USB cables too. They are good.
Ugh. Outlaw Porsche sound interesting! Exciting 🙂

Christian, I have another build started for the porsche. It will be listed as aubergine. I need to build 2. One the outlaw and the other is up omin the air now.

I can only work for a couple hours at a time. The size even with magnification gives me headaches.

Well nearing the end. I just hope that I can get it to my Dad soon. He has been having a rough time. But I think this kit is worse. If you have this kit in your wish list. I would tell you to reconsider unless you are going to invest way more time on the body work and all the other fixes required. Hell the wheels are too mall for the tires!!!!
I am getting close. Should have the remaining parts attached and the paint fixed tonight. Fingers crossed.

I know, this kit has some issues (my main issue on my point of view is the engine compartment - it looks so empty somehow). But when it sits on it's wheels, it looks pretty good! I like the lowered suspension at the front. Your Studebaker comes out pretty good. I like it. Like a friend / modeller friend said "You can make gold out of shit"
MPC / AMT / ERTL are always a challenge but I love every single kit I've own and built. I grew up with then because I'm a US car fan and what did you get in Germany decades back? Revell and Tamiya / Fujimi. Not much of the US market but you were able to get them somehow. That was a challenge too. Today thru all this internet stuff it is a lot of more easy. Daily business 🙂
