Great start, I love the figure with the "V" sign! Peace or Victory? Did you consider a resin nose? The one in the Trumpy kit is too flat on the bottom. Cheers, Bill
18 March 2012, 15:01

Nice start phil,or should i say almost ready for paint 🙂 love your building pace.
18 March 2012, 17:19

Thanks guys for the nice comment, @Bill, I did't no that the nose is to flat on the bottom,
@Holger, yes it's from PJ productions, a lovely pilot with great details
Greetz Phil
18 March 2012, 18:27

Hi Phil, check the various reviews for the kit on-line. Most of the problems are subtle (like most kits) but the nose should be rounded on the bottom. I know someone makes a resin replacement, but I can't remember who!
18 March 2012, 19:42

Give him some color, but there is still a lot of work, greetz Phil
3 April 2012, 15:18

SEA camoflage is looking very good over your pre-shading! I used pilot figures from PJ Productions on the F-14 that I just built. They are fantastic!
3 April 2012, 17:25

Thanks guys for your nice comments, @Michael, there wasnt anny problem to get the kit together, you just need some putty for the body
@Bill, the figures from PJ are a beauty, I hope I can paint it well!
@Guido, there is now difference with the C version, I now his nose is not correct from the trumpeter, still it's a very beautiful kit 🙂,
@ Dirk, almost 29 of April!!!!! See you at Model force,
Greetz, Phil
4 April 2012, 08:16

@ Stefan, the exhaust is the next stage, mask him and youst alclad, greetz Phil
4 April 2012, 17:03

Oh there is someone going to simulate the explicit burn-effect on this one! Good luck on it!!!
4 April 2012, 17:53

Yes, this will be exciting. I have an Italeri F-100 waiting to be built, and I'm interested in what shades of Alclad to use for the burned metal effect.
4 April 2012, 23:21

Mine is 1:72 too, I forgot to mention that. It's the D model, and it is a beautiful little kit. I was quite impressed by it when I opened the box. I've seen the big Trumpeter kits built up, too, they are very impressive. And we know Philip is doing a great job here - we can't wait to see it finished!! 🙂
4 April 2012, 23:39

The exhaust is done, this was a difficult one, I did this 3 times for getting a sedisfidet result, now it seems to haevy but when it's getting his matt cote this will be gone, I can finally begin with the decals and than give some colors to the pannellines, comments + or - is welcome, when my scalemates are sedisfidet, me to!!!!! greetz Phil
6 April 2012, 10:30

7 April 2012, 09:06

Will you make the stencils on the discolored engine surcfaces a little bit worn ?
7 April 2012, 09:50

@Christian, yes this will be done later when I begin with the pannellines and the other stuff, greetz Phil
7 April 2012, 11:33

I give the pannellines a washes and it looks already better, now I can begin with build up the plane with the other stuff, give the pilot some color and..... so mutch more 🙂 greetz Phil
10 April 2012, 19:48

The wash is wonderfully made! And it seems as you are a fan of heavy pre-shading, like me!
10 April 2012, 19:51

Wow, what difference between the "clean" and the washed condition
10 April 2012, 20:18

Philip,
pls excuse my question!
Is it a complete new F-100 model?
Or is it that one which was devastated after the horrible emergency landing of Jean Paul's flying hand in Moveleo??
I`m confused 🙂 🙂
It`s a masterly finished model, Philip!!!!! Top
28 June 2013, 06:14

Dirk, it's the one of the horibble emergency landing!!!!😉
Greetz Phil
