Hi Mike! Amazing job. Can I just ask if you polished the canopy? I could never get my clear parts this crystal clear...

Nice work so far and the preshade makes it really alive. Can I ask how you did the effects on the wings like in picture nr10?

Man, this is just beautiful! I like the rather clean approach! Top paint job!

Awesome, as usual! Great combination of weathering and footprints on the wing.
The picture showing your approach to pre-shading is highly instructive: It got to be irregular to make it look realistic. 👍👍👍
How do you achieve the nice shading on the instrument coaming? Dark base plus lighter shade sprayed on top?

Thanks guys 🙂 This thread has been resurrected, it's actually quite an old project. The model was completed, and shipped to the customer, a pilot in Scotland. I packed all the dangly bits - undercarriage, weapons, canopy etc. - separately for him to attach, rather than have them broken in transit.Model arrived safely and he was ecstatic, and managed to attach everything. I asked him for pics of the finished model, but never heard from him again (he did pay me though!). I'll never build a Revell 1/32 kit again though, it was horrible...

Never say never, their new FW-190, BF-109, Arado and Heinkel seem to be pretty decent. Do you still have some tips about the effect on the wing as in pic 10?

Thanks guys. @Bart I used Calibre35 Footprints, actual scale bootprints cast in flexible resin. I dipped them in grey paint and dabbed them on the wing.

Well done on the black 'streaking' which I am assuming is from the use of the graphite powder used on pivot points where 'wet' lubrication is avoided. 🙂
