ich habe so eine elektr. Fliegenklatsche erst zum Begrasungsgerät umgebaut... mit einer Verlängerung reicht das sicherlich über den Tisch bei der Ausstellung... 😉 aua

As for the electronic bit, I mean the small circuit board in the handle as shown in the photo, it looks like a small transformer and some capacitors. Is that a component from some pre-existing item or have you made that ?

Choppa, I think you mean the electrical swat (google.de/search?q=e..iw=1490&bih=1304). You have to rebuild the swat into a static grass maker. I hope I understand you correctly 🙂

ah ! so that's where the electronics come from 😄

but os course , the transformer is for generating the high voltage and the rest of the circuit is for turning DC into AC and the large capacitor is for storing charge and smoothing the flow of current. If I can get hold of one that looks like an easy project to make one. Simple but clever, I wonder who stumbled upon the idea of using it for making scenery ?

I want one of those anyway as I live in the country side and on opening the windows we get midges & mosquitos etc. and that looks ideal for swatting them 🙂

I need 15 minutes to rebuild the swat. it is not as good as purchased tufts of grass but I like it and works good for me

do I need to buy a special kind of grass material for this to work or will it work on regular scenery grass ?

I am working on/towards a Vietnam diorama for RC 1:48 & 1:35th scale tanks, jeeps & helis. I have a backdrop on order with my printer guy, twigs plucked from the garden of the correct scale plus some fresh cut lichen that can be worked into some cheap but realistic looking scenery and getting good grass would be a very nice touch for the whole thing 🙂

well I've bought myself a bug zapper, a metal sieve and some 10mm static grass, all I have to do now is butcher the zapper and the sieve together and give it a go 😄

Got some piccies coming soon for my RC OH-6 1:48 RC heli as it draws to completion and also an RC conversion of an Academy 1:48th scale T-72 and then a little scenery, backdrop is already sorted and up and then some piccies and maybe a little movie too 😄
