It was built several years ago, but recently painted/weathered. I just built and added the missile last week right before the show. Apologies on the pictures, its just too big for the photo-box!

Oh no worries... It's just super cool to see a big boy when most of the aircraft are jets on here 😄

I like the plane enough I wanted to do another, but due to shelf space I'm going to have to fold up the wings on that kit. I'll get around to it one day...

Good stuff, I was looking forward to see this - great model of a unique plane, a superb example of subtle realistic weathering, a well deserved award!

Thank you Slavo & Daniel. I am humbled by the kind comments from all the great modelers here.

I believe all the 1:48 Vikings are based from the ESCI kit. Mine had a Gunze sticker on the ESCI box. It is a very nice kit, especially considering its age.

Well done. I have a 1:72 almost built a long time ago, but one of the engines and all decals hot lost. Possibly parts of gears too. Bought a new one, let's see whether that can help.

Super nice, Congratulations to success, and since I just got an E-2C Hawkay on the table is also very clear the question of folding wings, which really need a lot of space 🙂

Thanks Erik & Holger!
I agree Jens, the next one if these I build will have the wings folded. Not enough space on the shelf!

Crazy I missed this! What a beautiful "Hoover"! I find this inspiring, and want to build one soon. I think I might have to bring one up in my build queue!

Don`t blush Nathan, the praise is well deserved: a very beautiful airplane!

Praise from this group of model builders makes it happen. Every time another build comes up I say "I wish I could build one that good!" I guess I can pull a rabbit out of my hat every once in a while LOL!
