That's a big boy! 👍 Have you considered using decal softener? That way the decals will snuggle down over those rivets.

Hey Patrick thank you for your comment. And yes I know about decal softener but wasn't sure how almost 40 yrs old decals would react with that, did use warm water in the hope it would help abit but no luck. Didn't dare to try softener lol

Just give it a try at an inconspicious place. Did you put a final coat over the decals already?

Didn't put a final coat over it yet so I could still try softener on it. Have some truck kits from 70's with decals that I wont use, maybe try on them first 🙂 was already glad they didn't fell off after drying 😛

Microsol is amazing, just dab it on with a brush and let it soften the decal. after a while, I gently push the decal down with a damp Q-tip

Should I use these flashlights or not? maybe a little to big for the 1:16 truck, got them on my Tamiya 1:14 and these where spares

To me the difference in scale/size isn't that noticeable. Unless it's a very specific type of flashing lights, those lights come in all sorts and sizes, right?

Thought so too, and in the old days some trucks had large flashing lights. and old police cars aswell

and I tried vallejo decal softener but didn't help much, think the decals are to thick or old or the combination of both 😛
