Building the new Airfix Buccaneer

I started with adding the PE wherever I could prior to any other assembly. 

The cockpit is nicely done but sure benefits from Eduard´s great printed PE. 

 

The kit is quite niftily engineered and fits quite well, despite its intricacy. 

I first used the new-style Vallejo metalizers on this project and am very happy with them. 

The metal areas were masked prior to assembly. 

Again I found the Eduard paint masks very helpful. 

This is the model after priming with Stynylrez grey and preshading with EDSG 

Spraying the model in Vallejo ModelAir Dark Sea Grey over the preshading made me arrive at a result I found credible. 

I applied the individual markings first, over a good coat of Future. 

There were far less stencils than with the Phantom, and grouping them made things easier.
