The COD version had no retractable radar and used the weapons bay to transport cargo. So the fuselage insert for the radome was filled.

The cockpits are quite heavy on PE.

I annealed the PE for the exhausts over a spirit flame to ease rolling it. I was quite happy both with its pliability and the resulting colour and surface texture.

I had to divert from instructions re the props. In the end, I glued them and then sanded them flush using my low-rpm / negligible torque Dremeloid.

The Gannet is a notorious tailsitter, and I crammed my model with all the weights I could find.

Album info I built this model for my collection of aircraft from HMS Ark Royal IV´s late airgroup. I sued the CTA decal sheet and the Trumpeter kit of the AS - version, plus the Eduard BigEd PE/masks.
