Christian W AutorA quick start. The body is already base coated and the rest of the parts have their base colors too. I decided to paint the interior in two different brown with anthrazit luggage room. The semi black upper parts of the dashboard and door panels will be detailed like the undercarriage.
Nothing spectacular so far. The parts (front and rear bumper, hood) fitting foot together.

Christian W AutorI'm a little undecided about the color. It started a project with my grandson. But one day later, he isn't interessted anymore. So: which color should I take instead chrome gold 😄? Or should I built it a s a gift for him for his birthday this year? I tend to the second but a sweet dark blue pearl metallic would be great to. Or I want to paint a car black badly. I don't know. Going on with the primer and then looking forward for a solution.

David SmithChevy traditional racing colours were blue with white stripe. An updated metallic/pearl version could look good. Perhaps not an ideal match for a tan interior.

Christian W AutorGood suggestion. The interior could match. I think this tan-brownish interior should fit to any color *lol*. I don't really have a fixed idea for the color. We will see, what catches my eyes next week.

If it's any consolation, I struggle with colours too. Sometimes, I go with real life builds, and other times, I just go with my gut? I'm lucky with being a truck builder, because if it's an owner/operator build, they can basically order whatever they want? But if it's a factory build, I'm doing research? I probably spend more time researching, than I do building? I actually probably spend more money researching, than I do kit buying too, but it's bloody good fun mate, and those American trucks are worth seeing! So don't worry mate, just love what we do, and do your best? Nobody can ever fault, a man who tries his best 😉

I totally agree with you, Boozer. I love to search information about the cars I want to build it those im currently building. On this Corvette I want to have this kind of interior. I didn't want it black as usual. And then there are so many nice pearl metallic colors for the C6. This makes the decision difficult or the solution can be: building mire C6 *lol*.
On trucks the same. When I was looking about a Ford LTL9000, I found a lot of cool colors and stripes. I'm building on one and didn't decide the color scheme too.
The eternal suffering of a model builder *rofl*. Isn't it?

The color is chosen and painted. Only missing the clear cote. When I put it in the drying chamber 😄, the coklor looks nearly the same like the original paint for the 1982 Collector Edition. Hm. Maybe I'll transform it to a 2012 Collector Edition?

Today it was clear coat day. I sprayed the C6 with some out of the rattle can. I'm satisfied with it. Do you notice that the color looks darker? Nat bad anyway.

Christian W AutorThank you mates! I really apreciate your positive feedback. When I painted it yesterday, the color went to dark for my point of view. As long as the clear coat wasn't dry, it looked a lot beige. The golden touch came back thankfully. Late in the evenening, I slipped the interior into the body and what I saw - like it 😄
