I've been model building since elementary school. A lot of decades have gone by and I'm still building models and scratch building as well. I've built RC aircraft from hand drawn blueprints that I scale up from magazines, entered a few contests, and dreamed of building models for use in the movies. I'd rather spend money on this hobby than 99% of the hobbies that adults are supposed to engage in. Of course I like building full size cars and crafting fiberglass bodies for them which is really just "Large Scale Modeling".

I like to do a lot of research on most of the models builds that I do. I don't always use all the research in building the model but I do enjoy knowing about the subject that I'm engaged in.

My stash has gone up and down over the years. At one time it filled a room of my house and then the fire of "93" hit us. I've rebuilt and models building was very helpful in getting through that tough time.

I really enjoy Scratch building. I have a pretty good imagination for creating never before seen vehicles and with the Internet I can always look around for some other artist vision and bring it to life as well.

The modeling possibilities are endless.
