A few impressions of the cockpit before assembly - instrument panel and harness are from Eduard, everything else from the kit.

A few new pictures show a few new qualities of the Arma Hurricane: for example the movable elevator, which hangs precisely in the finely crafted plastic hinges. A really fine detail! The assembly is done in a quite modular way, but goes quickly by hand. I putty more out of habit, less out of necessity.

Two pictures each for a construction or painting step: the glossy black provides a good basis for recognising inaccuracies. This is followed by Alclad White Aluminum, on which some Maskol is dabbed.... followed by a freehand and very loosely applied distribution of Ocean Gray and dark green. Nothing of this will be visible, except for a few areas - as with the original - but it should help to make the resulting black look lively and varied.

Well, Alexander, if that's the case - a reputation obliges, here are a few current pictures 🙂
Don't worry, from the appearance shown here, as if the Hurricane had lain under water as a wreck for a few years, just a hint of a memory will remain. The sources described these Night Intruder Hurricanes as being painted "smooth black" and that is how the final result should look - but with a little "undercoat" ....

This is roughly how the whole thing is supposed to look: the shots are not the best, but they show how I imagine the "animated" surface. Now I'll take a look at it all and get down to the finer details.

Kuttelwaschers Hurricane is now completed - what a pleasant and impressive kit! I added the inside and outside handles to the canopy, otherwise, apart from the harness, I built it out of the box. For me it was particularly ambitious and exciting to make a "black" surface look lively. Well, I'm impressed with Arma - and definitely have to build another Hurricane from the expanding range!

Thank you all for the motivating feedback on this Hurricane! The combination of your inspiring feedback with a new kit that is really OK will ensure that this will not be the last model of an Arma Hurricane for sure. Thank you for your words and your interest!

Is this Arma Hobby kit better than the previous Airfix or Hasegawa? It costs almost 50$ in my country, which is too dear for me to afford one.

Thank you both mates!
Well, I have a clear verdict: of all the Hurricane kits I have already built, Arma Hobbies clearly wins the race in the categories of attention to detail and accuracy of fit.
