I am opening this construction report with a series of pictures of "what has happened so far". Three SK 60s will be built here in parallel, three of four decal variants will be realised. This much can already be said: the kit is not overly complicated, the number of parts is manageable - as is the level of detail. This refers, I must limit right away, especially to the cockpit and the seats in particular. It is also surprising that the nose wheel is made from only two parts - and the wheel is moulded onto the undercarriage leg! On the other hand, I find the details on the outer skin very pleasing and well done.
In my opinion, there is a lack of clarity in the building instructions and numbering errors have crept in. For example, you have to be careful with all the parts that form the rear engine area.area. It is also important to ensure sufficient weight in the nose; you can see my solution in the second picture.
The next step for the three Saab models is to fill and sand - but all within reason, as the parts generally fit very well!

Time for a few new pictures of the three SK 60s! I've been a bit lazy with photos, so here's a time-lapse of the work steps! The current situation is that I have already applied the decals to the one in the smart NMF livery. These proved to be of very good quality and are easy to apply.

Hello Jürgen! A pleasure to have you on board! Actually two of these birds are in the finishing line, one of them is the NMF- one. I am eager to show you pictures of the final steps!

When did it happen? Watching with pleasure and interest, of course!

Thanks mates! For the colours I followed the instructions and used Gunze acrylic paints: the blue-grey of the underside was made from Gunze H335, the top colours are mixed from H52 and H302 as well as from H55 and H52. Thank you for your interest and your comments!

With these three pictures, the three Saab SK 60s are entering the home stretch: the masks have fallen, the (still very dusty) surfaces show their final colours and degrees of gloss, and the assembly of the clear parts has turned out to be quite tricky. This refers to the clean fit of the front cockpit glazing on all of them and, on the one Sk 60 where the cabin is shown closed, to its fit in relation to the fuselage and front clear part.
Now it's time for the final steps and the last touch-ups!
