Great work on this one! I love Tomcats, especially with unusual schemes! But one question, please: Why is the frontgear fully extended?

Album info

This is an academy 1/48 scale tomcat, painted in the aggressor splinter scheme, I used a detailed aires cockpit, complete with the canopy detail set.

This Blue Splintered NSAWC F-14A Tomcat is a block 130 aircraft (Bureau Number 161869). It was originally delivered to the US Navy in January 1985. During its early service life, it flew with the following units.
VF-11 Red Rippers
VF-24 Fighting Renegades
VF-124 Gunfighters
VF-213 Black Lions

Some time prior to and during 1998, it was placed into storage and listed as belonging to CFWL (Commander Flight Wing Atlantic). From storage, it transferred to the NSAWC sometime before May of 1999.
