IJN Yamato (Tamiya)

A far away view so you can see the whole thing. 

The base, its a piece of leftover hardwood, forgotten the name of it haha, I now have some oil for it to make it look nice. 

These were some brass fittings from the hardware store plumbing department. I put them on a lathe and machined away the outside thread except where the nuts are sitting. Cutting the holes for these bolts was the scariest part of this project for me 🤔

Here I got a bit cheeky with the rigging. Those lines are supposed to connect to the railing but I took 1 look at that and thought "I don't think so..." So i cut and bent a tiny piece of sprue, connected the thread to that and cemented it down 😛

Well hello there Tamiya acrylics... Tried to do a patch up in a few spots. Since this was my first model, and it was a Tamiya kit, I got Tamiya colours. It didn't work out so well.
