Your Sherman looks good. Very convincing weathering and a nice range of figures. I´m looking forward to the finished Diorama.

Looking great! But you've made the same mistake that I did with my first Sherman. The shevrons on the tracks shouldn't be metal at all, no on this track type they're made of rubber. [img1] the.shadock.free.fr/..cks/vvss_tracks.html

Thanks mates!
@Spanjaard: I added the used kit to the project.
@Urban: Indeed I did this mistake but actually corrected this by overpainting the metal parts. Maybe I need to go back on this. As far as I found out in my research the duckbill extensions were metal.

Yes, the duckbills is all metal and they replace the end connectors.

The sherman looks like real. weathering is perfect. I'll follow. I'm eager to see the figures in the diorama

Thanks Norbert - overall there are going to be 23 Figures on the dio, looking forward to the paintjob 🙂

Thanks Markus! Yes 23, lots of painting, but it´s fun and a good chance to improve paint skills.

🙂 Thats right.
I do not want more if I only paint 2 or 3 .

Hallo Sascha, really amazing! I like the painting of the Officer and of the Sherman! Good job, fella!

Spanjaard - yes all figures are painted, tested the positioning with the infantry guys. Still some equipment stuff to do on the Sherman. That´s why the tankcrew still missing.

Wow, amazing work. Your figures look great and the diorama came together perfectly. I think the female in your diorama is better looking than the one in the photo🙂

Not even the Fräulein can wake them up ............. poor guys, tired of fighting eastward. This beautiful diorama is a masterpiece.

Convincing diorama with a lot of atmosphere. I suggest that your dio be the teaser.

So glad this album has been brought up again, or I would have missed this understated gem. They really do look exhausted... I'm liking the slight variations in the so-called uniforms. It makes it all the more realistic and convincing.

Thank you so much for your comments, much appreciated!
@Michael: Good idea, Switched 🙂
@Bruce: Luckily, there are some options painting US uniforms. Meanwhile there is a wider range of kits or resins coming with the M43 uniform and boots. This was a struggle some years ago.

Thank you, gentlemen!
@Alberto: painting all these figures challenged my patience multiple times. After this project my maximum count of figures is 10 😄
26 September 2022, 13:40

So where's the limit now for figures in your next projects? 😄

I can almost hear them whistling at her! The whole scene is fantastic. Street light, fencing. Incredible.

Began flipping through the pics and wondered if it was based on a photo, then lo and behold… Great work!

Thanks for your kind comments!
@Doubtingmango The photo catched me instantly, once I came across. It was taken in my hometown in 1945.

Thank you, for your kind words, Jenn!
@Rui There will be more dio's from Magdeburg 🙂
