Thank you all very much. @ Michael, I like the Revell/Monogram kit. It is inexpensive and with a little work turns out a nice model. Unfourtunely the kit has been discontinued, so I will have to check out the AMK "cat" when it comes out. The only real problem seems to be a multitude of ejector pin marks that I do not remember from earlier kits. Hopefully I will get some paint on it tomorrow.

Thanks Cliffy, it might be re-issued now that Revell/Monogram has been bought out by another company because they went bust.

Thanks Donald and Michael. I got the bottoms of the stabs, wings and fuselage painted this afternoon. I plan on trying salt weathering on this one, will be my first try, any advise would be greatly appericated.

The Academy "A" model is not a bad kit also. I hope Revell/Monogram makes a re-appearance. I would love to see the Monogram 1/48 F-89 make a re-appearance.

She is all painted now, I will apply the clear coat tomorrow and then start the salt weathering. I will get some new pictures up tomorrow.
