Started this basic just for the sake of fun. An out of the box build, except for the decals since the HC ones are rubbish.

After a grey coat of Alclad grey primer and micro filler I added a black coat from Gunze. Ready for the NMF coats I guess!

The Expert choice decals are a bit brittle... They all come apart unfortunately. Will have to look for other F-94B decals I'm afraid 🙁

Received a new decalsheet from a fellow Scalemate, and these do not disintegrate!! So now I can finally finish this Starfire. Thanks Nathan! 🙂

Although the new decals are better then my other set the big ones for the tanks still are a bit brittle.. Luckily I have a double set. The kit is not very accurate too, the little air vents on the side of the fuselage are in wrong positions.. 😄

Probably the week after we finish our old kits some all new super accurate one will be announced. One that comes with a great decal sheet too...

Thanks Daniel and Maciej! Have used 3 shades of AK extreme metal

Decalling done now, have to fix the big red ones on the tanks with some paint to cover the ruptures but besides that they all worked fine.

Thanks James 🙂 An old kit but still quite nice. Not up to todays standards but for a bit of fun it's the perfect kit

Thanks mates! Did some repairs on the tank decals. Looks much nicer now

I have two old "Hawk" T-33A's talk about fun trying to make those look decent, that is going to be fun. I have resin cockpits for them but they are for the Hobby Craft kit, so will have to try to shoehorn them in. Also have the re-heat detail set for both, The next problem is to find decals for them as the kit ones are shot. But that is what modeling is all about right. I was thinking of getting the Experts Choice F-94 sheets for the basic markings.

Very nice NMF, that is a very nice shinny bird! Pity all the trouble you are getting with the decals

Thanks mates! She is finished now.. not 100% satisfied but it was "one for the fun" (and practice with nmf), still happy with the result of this old dog of a kit.

Nice metal finish! Even though the decals put up a fight, you managed a very good result. Well done Erik!

Very nice and clean build, Erik. I like the the combination of the rather dark red applications on the metal.
