Ooh. I feel for you, something similar thing happened to my A321... paint stripped and model still waiting to be repainted. Before the summer.

I had the same thing happen on an Airfix 737-200 which I need to get back on the bench

In addition to using a flat metal file, you can also use a small blade to scrape a surface more flat, and clean up the plastic a little. I wonder what it looks like on the model around the cabin. 🙂

I have in the past used Tamiya Lacquer Thinner to strip the paint from models. Kitchen tissue, cotton swabs and a lot of elbow grease. It's a messy and smelly process, but the paint comes clean off and the plastic remains unharmed.

Happened to me making a Tamiya Kawaski bike. I used 600g wet & dry sandpaper (wet) but it took ages and I had to be careful not to remove some of the detail. As I said, nightmare.

I've used brake fluid. Soak it for a bit, the paint will easily rub off with a paper towel. The effect is kind of cool though. Is there something that could be done with it...
