Hello Clifford Keesler, what a giant 🙂 But nice start, the details like me, but comes for my ACH 47 A a little late, would have made much easier 😉

Thank's Mikey. I got the rotor head built today and a munch of sub assembiles.

Wow, that is a big chopper, seeing it on the cutting mat like that really puts it in perspective.....I like what I'm seeing so far, the extra detail looks good....how do find the Academy plastic?
30 October 2018, 07:23

It is not bad. Not to hard or to soft. It is pretty easy to work. Of course it is not Tamiya or Hasegawa, but then I don't get to build many of those anyway. LOL.

Looking good sir! They need to do the AF version damn it. LOL

Thanks Donald. Yes I would like an Air Force Jolly Green also. Also wish they would re-release the CH-53E Marine version.

The jolly for sure. But something like this is what I was thinking...

3 November 2018, 16:20

Thank you Konrad,Germen and Augie. @ Augie, yea that is why I am building it folded up. LOL.
4 November 2018, 02:56

are the squares on your cutting mat square inches?...if so this really is a monster! Decals are already making it look very good Clifford!
4 November 2018, 11:08

Thank you Michael, Holger and Wim. yes Wim the squares are inches.
4 November 2018, 15:15

Wow, this is VERY impressive Clifford! I can't wait to see the final result!!!

Andy and Spanjaard. I hope to finish it this week. It actually has been a joy to build, But I have a pile of SU-27's and SU-0'scalling my name.
12 November 2018, 00:22

I'm looking forward to the rollout. I've started this kit a few months ago with the Eduard Big Ed Set. After open up all the meshes and adding the PE-Meshes, i put it on hold to finish up my Abrams and Bradley first.
12 November 2018, 08:07

I'm sure yours will be a stunner Andy. I started installing rotor blades yesterday, and the rest of the little bits. Should be ready for final satin coat tomorrow.
13 November 2018, 18:37

I may have missed it, but what did you use for the wiring on the rotor head? Thick fishing line or wire?
13 November 2018, 18:55

Thanks for your confident words, Clifford. With the inspiration of your build, i think i should get that beast back on the workbench
13 November 2018, 19:53

Thanks Andy, mine is now finished.@ Donald, I used silver beading wire, and different sizes of elastic beading thread. You can get them at Michaels or Walmart. There are various dia. of the beading wire and it is very easy to work with.
15 November 2018, 19:25

Yep, I have some as well. I used it for the wiring on the H-34 I did. Was just curious what you used. Always asking the masters how they do it. 🙂
