And across the line...! 🙂 Nice finish, I particularly like the job on the radome, looks spot on.

Thanks mates!
Slavo: I debated on that radome color for a few days and decided to just go lighter to show it off a bit. I also drilled a small hole in the front as some of my research showed they put a gun recorder camera there.

Thanks Clifford. I really liked the chipping you did on your Vampire and tried to translate that on my build.

Thanks Chris! Still want to do a Venom to keep the series going...

All the way up to the Sea Vixen I suppose. Hard to swallow $80US for the Venom on eBay though, so I'll keep looking at shows...

I found a Venom for 14.99 at a second hand shop, where I buy a lot of Models.

Clifford you are a master of the find! I need a Fonderie 1:48 Breguet Alize too if you ever see one 🙂

The Venom is on a site called Mustang Hobbies, and it is 13.99 not 14.99 it is by Glencoe.

Hmmm I may have to check that out. I tried the site but kept getting errors. I'll do it from my laptop later.

Sorry for dredging up this ole thread, but I wanted to give you congrats on doing a great job with un. I just picked up the same kit for dirt cheap, and your work gives me inspiration to do the same with mine. Kudos to you sir! 🙂

Missed this totally Nathan...but what a very nice model, love the subtle wheathering!

Thanks Jos 🙂 Check out Clifford's build of this same kit. I totally tried to copy his technique.

Nice finish - has a very post-war British feel about it, almost makes me feel cold & wet😉
Always happy to see a well made bird from the era when the RAF was real-world-testing itself through all the imaginable configurations for jet aircraft... 👍 I think I mentioned it, but seeing a Sea Vixen would be seriously cool too!

Thanks Slavo 🙂
Ah yes, I keep hoping to snag a Sea Vixen, but everyone here in the US seems to think the kit was made of gold or platinum, so I stand by for the upcoming re-release 🙂

I did pick this up at a gun show of all places (score!) while I await the kit...
