Nice! I will take a seat.
Got the same idea and prepared everything for it, but did not start the build yet. 😄

Glad to have you onboard Zsolt and Ingo!
This vehicle is very special to me because I served on it.

Cool, Angel. Its always interesting to see when pleople build models of vehicles that they have some kind of connection to.

Thanks Bart!
The rack is worth 2(and counting) evenings of measuring, cutting and gluing😉

🙂
Speed of construction is 2 features(power units, antennae feeders etc.) per day--I am still among the blessed, that go to work in these uneasy times...
I might have all the equipment of the radio rack built by Sunday evening, so stay tuned.
And take care!

Thanks Rui!
I served for a year on a R-142N Deymos in the mid-90's...thus the build revives a lot of memories 🙂

Oh my! Such a great job has been done. Amazing attention to little details.
Photoetched parts are nice, is it MicroDesign or it is from another manufacturer?

Thanks Maxim!
To your question-the PE comes with the Trumpeter GAZ-66 kit, I used as base for this build.

Hi Angel,
hope you are doing well. As you are a specialist for Bulgarian Army equipment, I need your input. I recently started to update the German Wikipedia, with our knowledge as model builders for some articles an easy task 😉 In some cases for some equipment the use of weapons in the Bulgarian Army was mentioned, but the sources are old and not very detailed on this. Do you know a book, best would be in English language at least, that gives information on the use of German originating equipment in the Bulgarian Army?
Thanks in any case and stay healthy
Andreas
P.S. I hope to see much more from you all the time

Thanks Thomas!
25 years ago I spent almost a year attached to this vehicle, so this is also a build of love.

Самый верный и неприхотливый грузовик!
Чтобь мы на нем зашли куда то в горах и он нас обратно не вернул- вот такое не случилось ни разу!
Спасибо Дмитрий!
Рад что тебе нравится мой Деймос!

You are not alone Spanjaard! I missed it too! And I am a huge fan of Angel's! Another beautiful replication of a classic vehicle. And you get the prizes too! My hat is of Angel and I bow deeply. So beautiful!

Thanks for your kind words, mates!
I've served on this vehicle for a substantial part of my tour of duty 26 years ago, so that is a build full of memories(of an youth long gone) and love!
In a month time(Border Guards Annual Meeting 2022) I'll visit my barracks in Momchilgrad and will take some pictures-not only of the R-142N radiotruck(it is still there, on storage), but also of the UAZ-452 Ambulance van and the Operations UAZ-469 Allroad Vehicle, I have "golden" memories with.
I Intend to build these vehicles one day too.

Angel, I hope your mates appreciate the time you have put in on it. I certainly do. No1 fan Peter Hardy!
21 May 2022, 23:12

That's a very cool backstory! I always enjoy the personal connections to the models!
