June 14, 2020Second challenge after cabin, Border Guard modified their Mi-8 with radars, winches etc. and all other needed stuff for maritime SAR helicopter, so building those were challenge. This is probably 5th radar dome, still not accurate but close enough.6

June 14, 2020Used colors were Revell 04 gloss white, Revell matt 48 sea green, Humbrol gloss 18 orange, and revell SM 332 luminious red. Exact information about authentic colors I could not find, so these are my interpretation to colors seen on pictures and helos.8

June 14, 2020When removing liquid masking from windows happened something new to me, last semigloss lacquer layer pealed some of the paint with it. So eventually windows aren't looking very nice. Something that has to be fixed later.15
June 14, 2020Almost ready, when I find time (and inspiration), pilots mirror to winch would be nice to add. I produced prototypes but I did't like them (too big or looked too heavy) so I might add that later. Quite happy with result. And I made first home printed decals for this plane, so lots of new building stuff learned in project also.
