Thanks Simon.i used Vallejo metallic colors on their gloss black primer. The base was made by using a varnished piece of wood with some AK sand colored base paste with two different types of washes.

Album info
Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki, vintage Hasegawa 1/72 kit. This was my first natural metal finish work, I have learned a lot while doing it and have much more to learn. I added seat belts in the cockpit, brass tube machine guns, added antenna wire, used stencils to airbrush Hinomaru markings rather then using decals, painted different panels in various shades to break the monotony. Model was finally weathered with AK pencils to chip painted surfaces and natural metal surfaces as well as AK pigments for exhausts. Pilot figure came with the kit and I made an appropriate base to display the model. This is number 30 for the year!
