Welcome Palo and Oliver. Only small progress over the weekend: i've modified and finished all of the MK.82 bombs. There is a small difference of the diameters between Res/Kit and CMK (larger), but hopfully this isnt noticable at the end. Also test fitted the metal pitot tube and had to modify the nose cone a bit. Now all is cleaned and masked to start paint job this week.

Welcome Oleg, Micheal and Cuajete. Primer is done. Needed some re-do's on the fuselage and pylons but nothing difficult. I hope to start painting the camouflage soon.

After finishing all the detail painting (hopefully) and an overall layer of gloss clear varnish ... let's start the decals sessions.

First 70 decals done but only the bombs and pods are finished. Just like an navy fighter with full stencils.

Thank you. Decals are on but still a way to go. Next step clear varnish and panel line wash.

Nearly lost my patience with this project in the last weeks. From broken fins to missing parts... the chaos on my bench was to much. 2 small parts still missing but this is it. Finished!

Album info
The first F-111F to take off from RAF Lakenheath for attack on Libya (14. April 1986), and the first to attack Tripoli International Airport, was also the most successful of this part of Operation El Dorado Canyon. Twelve Mk.82 AIR ballutte-retarded general-purpose bombs released by this F-111F instantly destroyed two Ilyushin Il-76 transports of the Libyan Arab Air Force, and caused a conflagration that gutted another two.
