Build OOTB, using 318th markings (even though assigned to the 48th FIS on TDY six-month rotation at Osan AB, Rep. of Korea, during 1968), but change serial number to 59-0147 by swapping in the second 7 from 539th markings (and giving the redundant 5 to 539th, flipping the 6 to a 9 to become 57-2459). Then hang two MERs with a dozen Mk.82 slicks. Tada! The F-106A Strike Fighter!
