Sobre mí

My first efforts in modeling were 1/48 scale propeller driven planes from world war II. My father had been a tail-gunner on a B-29 which was my initial catalyst. Gradually, I decided to explore other scales and other subject matter. My older brother rediscovered modeling a couple of years before I did. He has been primarily a car modeler and his motivation was to build models of the cars he could never afford to own as far as the real thing. I am interested in modeling some of the vehicles' that I have driven, and some that I haven't but have always wanted to. My main theme that I am pursuing is service vehicles. Recently, I have been working with 1/24 and 1/25 scales but I am also interested in military trucks in 1/35 scale. With a better work area than what I had before my wife and I moved last year; I have completed 4 builds since January. So that is some of my back story, and I look forward to exploring more of the features of scalemates.
