Yes it is, very few fit problems, however the wing fold photo etch is a bit tricky!

You've made a lovely clean build of it. The paint job looks good despite your problems. Did the primer not stick to it properly

The primer stuck ok, I was trying to pre paint interior parts without primer and the Tamiya would bead up. Solved the problem by spraying several very light coats to seal it first. I ended up glueing the photo etch on with Walthers Goo.
