Just experimenting with how this seated figure might ride seated here sticking out of the top of the car. I probably won't do this but it's good to try things out.
Made a new steering wheel with the same style of simulated Paracord wrap. The old tiller was too big. And some experimentation with the cargo. Oh yeah, you can also see that I've distressed the rear seats.
More experimentation with the placement of the cargo. It's got to show off all the details I've put into the items, while also looking like it's just piled in there.
Much though is given to how someone would actually place this stuff in the car. For example, you wouldn't put the boxes of M.R.E.s down first and then the cases of ammo on top. The ammo would crush the M.R.E.s and shift around too much while flying through the desert. You'd also position your Mosin or AK or both so that you could get to them in a hurry.
Some of the items. Yeah, the M.R.E. boxes are 1/35th, cheating a little here. The ammo boxes are resin cast copies of my own scratch built masters. I made the stencil decals myself based off real ammo boxes using Adobe Illustrator and blank decal paper.
The AK is 3D printed I bought from Shapeways. It had the common, ribbed metal magazine. I modded it to a smooth sided bakelite mag and wrapped it with blue electrical tape or isolenta as the Russians call it.
The cannon rounds are from Tamiya. I painted the projectiles black and put some hard to see decals on the casings. There is no cannon on this car, but they're hauling them for something else.
Not sure about using the skulls. They're cool and all, but what is the actual justification for having them in the car?
I very much wanted to display this car at NNL West. This years show was the last one. So even though it's still a work-in-progress, I put it on the table. I was able to speak to a few guests at the show that might not have appreciated all the work this blue blob represents. I agree it looks dumb like this, but I'm very positive that it's going to look killer when done.

Jv Very cool love you sketch
and idea
Sure to keep an 👁 on it
Bozzer Vehicles like this, always catch my eye. The imagination that goes into them, blows me away! If I attempted something like this, it would look like an old car that's had a load of junk, stuck to it! Now I'm gonna have to hang around and see how it turns out 🙂

Atomicdeliriumkirjailija Thank you all for your encouraging comments. I'm a very slow builder but have been modeling more lately. I actually started this thing in 2019.
