Double 1950 Ford pickup build

Bought these 2 kits together for cheap in one box. Decided I'd build them together too. White body will be painted some shade of red and built as a stereotypical Christmas tree truck for my wife. The blue body will be left in bare plastic and polished out as my entry into a "naked models" group build. I had a lot of fun doing that last year and decided to join again this year.

I'm curious what the 'naked' version will look like. Since you're building two, there will be an excellent opportunity for a direct comparison. 🙂

Perhaps not as interesting in all areas but I hope to add some extra contrast here and there with markers and things. I think it will be fun to build the two styles together.

Some progress. A bit of silver and black marker and an aftermarket distributor and the naked model engine is complete. Making a distributor for the painted kit and installed the Ardun heads.
