Airfix F-86F Sabre 1:48

My plane will represent this aircraft 

I added some wires and color to the front wheel well (upper original, below with wires added) 

I took all the details out of air brake wells and scratch built the details back. 

All the details added and painted 

On left is original kit details and on right is my scratch built air brake well 

I added some detail to the gun bays too 

After the guns and chutes are on not too much details can be seen. But to naked eye there is more 

It went together nicely, not anything special to report. There was not canopy masks out of the box, but it was easy to mask with Tamiya tape as the window frames were little bit raised. For gun bay I used tissue paper masking and air brake bays the air brake doors out of the box. 

Bottom needed some putty as the Airfix plastic is soft and sinks. Fit was quite nice though. 

The plastic is a bit textured though and I had to polish it. I started painting with black base for future metal paints 

I used Tamiya LP-range paints for metal cote. I liked how the paints worked and how they look
