Porsche 918 - Revell - A great cheap model

Almost done! Few details missing, now some days far from home but it will be ready soon. WARNING FOR ALL MATES: do not glue together the body with the bumpers (the front in particular), it will be hard put the assemble on the chassis at the end. I had to do some cuts, shuts and rebuild of the bottom of the car, nothing visible but a pain. At the same time I don't like to paint the body and the bumper splitted so....

Mmm....not a bad color at the end of the day. Slowly doing progress. Wheels and interior detailing on the way.  

 

 

I glued together the main body and the front/rear bumper. Istruction doesn't agree with me, I will find the hard way if I did a bad move  

The engine bay looks very good even if not painted yet. For now i didn't find any particular reason why I paid only 17 euros for this kit. I think i'll find it.  

Tried to "unpaint" the original chrome effect. I hate it. I used dot4 brake fluid for 24h but I think is a bit too old and does not work as usual. Or this paint is extremely solid... 

My final choice for the body color. A mixture of these two tones. Still don't know the mixing rateo
