At first glance, the kit solves some of the problems of the Special Hobby/Airfix kit, but introduces others. While the tail control surfaces are fine, the wing profile is too thin, especially at the root. It also lacks the wing root extensions towards the rear of the plane.
The windshield is poorly molded; it has a rounded shape, when it should be flat.
The wheel wells lack detail.
There are resin parts. They are well molded, but more detail is expected. The wheels have no detail at all. The nose wheel and landing gear are poorly done. I rebuilt the wheel and landing gear from scratch.
There are two beautiful ejection seats, one with a very well-detailed pilot figure. However, the other is missing details, such as the seat belts. Again, I built these details from scratch. And, by the way, Martin Baker's version of the ejection seats is not the one used on the Pucará. I modified them slightly and added the ejection handles.
The big problem to solve: it's clearly a damn tail seater. So I drilled a lot of holes and filled them with ballast. As many as I could toward the nose, just ahead the landing gear line.
The material of the fuselage parts and wings is too hard to sand properly. I think it is ABS, but I'm not a 3D printing expert. I glued the parts with cyano, and the parts joined almost instantly, so you should be careful with this.
The worst is that the front part of the left wing was wrongly printed, and I had to filled the missing part with Parsec modeler putty. I also used this putty to build the missing wing root bacward extensions and cockpit details. The propeller blades are molded backwards, and they do not have the proper shape.
Finally, the panel lines are too wide. I think that They colud be done better.
Anyway, I added a good number of details: windscreen sweeper, aerials, lights, cockpit details, static dischargers, and a fuel tank that I made from spare parts and some scratch buildind, that also carries ballast, just in case.
