Thanks man. Decals were a pain in the ass, but in the end it was worth it. I was happy with the outcome of the pilot figures. My first effort at attempting to really paint them with detail, and I feel pretty confident about it.

It's a beautiful built.
I hope someone will release it in 1:72
Or at least, Academy would downscale it.

Julien, kit is really nicely detailed. As for decals...there's a lot of them, and they can be a bit of a pain with trying to get them to line up even for the mirrored image of the white and yellow paint scheme. Probably one of the hardest factors of the build. But they did hold up well as far as no tears or rips, so I'm grateful for that. Had they been cheap decals, then this no doubt would have been a disaster with all the contours and complex curves that are required for the layout to be pulled off nicely. They react extremely well to Micro Sol as well, which is a big plus. As far as ease of assembly. It wasn't too bad for the most part. The only problem area were fixing the intake trunks and forward nose section to the fuselage itself. The intake wells themselves had about a millimeter too much of length that had to carefully be sanded down flush to the intake trunk installation. As for the nose section, there's really no solid line up point, so there's a lot of awkward handling trying to get it in place without some tremendous steps in the join. Took me a little bit of awkward mouth bending, but it finally came on line. Outside of that, the only other downfall, which is a pretty big one, is the decal placement sheet. It's printed in black and white, which kind of sucks when you're pointing a black line to the decal placement on a black airplane. It all gets lost in translation trying to figure out where the thing is indicating you to put what decal where. Fortunately, a whole lot of puzzle guessing played out well in my favor, and I was able to get most of the major white and yellow pieces to play nicely. The stencils though are another story. You can barely see where they're supposed to go. Enough to the point that after a while I finally just called good, good enough and quit killing myself trying to struggle over tiny decals. All in all, I'd say it's a 7 out of 10 as far as the build itself. Had they thrown in a color decal placement sheet, and alignment tabs on the nose section to the fuselage mate section, then it would have easily been a 9 out of 10. Either way, highly recommended kit, and looks killer once finished.
