Great model 👍
I like the weathering. Are the two figures included with the kit?

thanks HK, yes they are...I'm starting to really like the Tamiya weathering pastels........scalehobbyist.com/ca..mp;type=alternatives
They have a two or three other sets as well. They add a bit more control and subtlety over powdered pigments, IMHO

Thanks guys, you know, I'm not a real big fan of hairspray weathering, but around the hatches might be a good place to use this method....here, I think I more or less dappled Panzer Aces "Dark Rust".....so the challenge would be using selective application of the hairspray (or whatever)

Pretty straight forward build Barry, I did have a problem with the fit of the rear deck and the lower hull......and thanks Gerald! And the AA machine gun, that thing is huge! I wonder if this was kept attached during travel? It would seem to me that it could be easily damaged if it were not detached. But where would you store it?

I don't think it would be removable, even Rambo would struggle with that thing!

They must have disassembled the thing.....but that would sort of negate its usefulness as an AA weapon, one would think. I've added two images to this album. One is a photo of the JSU 152 with the AA gun mounted, and the other is a photograph showing an apparently traveling JSU 152 without the AA gun......

Nice one! Very well done! Had the same problem with the upper Hull and fixed it with some wood:

Nice solution Christian, I got sort of a warning from one of the reviews I found for the build, but I always wait until the vehicle is pretty much completely assembled before I paint the upper hull. Thanks Kevin, sometimes after I shoot the base modulation, I'm tempted to leave it alone! As in this KV-1[img1]

James how did you create the brownish dust effects? Did you use pastels for this?
3 May 2014, 08:09

Jan, on the vertical surfaces the brown is from oil drops, on horizontal surfaces the brown is from the weathering set (pastels similar to a woman's make up) that came with Tamiya's SU-122, #25111. I know nothing of womens' make up but this might be a good source for similar weathering products!

@ James. Thanks, I'm having a go at 1:35 armor. Lots of skills to try out and practise🙂
