I had a great time at the 2015 IPMS/USA National Convention. It was my first convention. I have been to many local and regional IPMS contest. The Convention hotel was very nice.There were lots of vendors and some great deals. However the only problem was that the contest room itself was too dark, very poor lighting. I dont know how the judges could see to judge the models. I have judged at many local and regional contests and you would need a flash light to see the models. The contest room was large and nice but needed more light. the awards banquet and the food was also well done. 4 days at the convention to me was a bit long and if I go again I would maybe only go for 3 days. I can now check off going to a IPMS National Convention off my bucket list.

There are certainly some very talented modellers that competed, and I am really surprised you didn't come away with an award mate, as I saw nothing that impressed me more than yours.🙂

ZM seems to always put up a huge display.

As one of the organizers of the convention I am glad that you had a good time. The lighting in the contest room is not the best, but little we can do about it. There were lots of great models, and thanks for sharing your pictures.

Ah, Graham, as one of the organisators of exhibition in Riga I can tell, that the lightening is always a problem..
