Ilooks like it's a nice kit ... I'm in !!!!!
I thinking about getting one of these .....

The left one is the zvezda mig. The seats are from the Zvezda kit. The cockpit of the ICM kit is ready. The ICM kit looks good to. But I have used a lot of putty. By the Zvezda kit I have used no putty.Everything fit perfect.

!^^ Martien: How did you manage to paint those incredibly fine and straight lines with an airbrush??
20 March 2016, 09:56

I have started to paint the Zvezda Mig 29 with the mig29 colorset from MIG colors. The ICM Mig is painted with AKAH paint for the Mig-29. There is a big difference between the colors. In this case, it is not such a problem . The Zvezda MiG gets a camouflage scheme of 2 colors of gray.

mal nicht die Farben sondern das Modell an sich was wirklich mehr als überzeugen kann 👍

I like it very much Mart... now I don't know if I will build My Italeri kit, or send it to you to have a beautiful plane like this 😉 (how to have a beautiful model on the shelf without no work 😄 )

Thank you guys, for the kind words. I started also with the Trumpeter Mig 29.

Seems like a lot off differences between the 3 models, is it also possible to open the van de on top off the intakes with the Zvesda version?
26 March 2016, 07:45

@Bart. You dont can change the intakes. Or you muss buy etchparts for it. The ICM and Trumpeter upper intakes are open . The lower intake of the Zvezda is open but have intake guards for it. I build them all OOB. But maybe I will buy new exhaust for the ICM kit. For a low budget the ICM kit is very good. It is also the oldest kit. But the exhaust and cockpit is very poor. Also the ICM missiles are oval. I have used the Zvezda second chair for the ICM kit. Also some decals from Zvezda. The Trumpeter missiles goes under the ICM kit . And the bombs and ground attack missiles from Zvezda commes under the Trumpeter mig.

Very nice Martien! Is the preshading done by the "edding method"?
26 March 2016, 08:19

Nice ! You're having a "Mig Off" all to yourself ! 😄
..... or a group build for one as they might say 😉
27 March 2016, 18:17

ICM mig is finnished. Missiles and wing fueltanks are from the Trumpeter mig.

Another Beauty made by You! Excellent as all of Your work! 👍

Marvelous Martien. I just ordered Zeveda's SU-24. A 1/48 one is nearly 100.00 dollars,and Trumpeter's 1/72 scale one is 51.00.

As always Martien, you have all of us singing your praise, and no wonder mate, your a master at all you do. 🙂 👍

I really like your MiG - build one of those a long time ago, no comparision with your masterpiece!

Martien, You certainly have a gift for bringing out the recessed lines and overall 'used' look, and with the hard stand it is presented on, it's hard to tell fact from fiction.🙂
Great work mate, as with all you builds. 👍
