Lovely work! This is a masterpiece! Do you have any contact with Marabu?
11 April 2016, 22:06

Francisco, I already replied to your question elsewhere - you can contact him on Modelforum.cz, nick MARABU. He is active there almost daily, as far as I can tell.
11 April 2016, 22:15

Oh yes! It was you! Thanks!I have already registered there, i have sent him a message, got no reply! 🙁 Maybe they are out of business. It's a shame, they had good products!
Great work on the Swordfish!

Francisco, they are (or rather he is, as this is a one man show AFAIK) most definitely not out of business. What is that thing you need to know btw?
11 April 2016, 22:35

12 April 2016, 17:37

No moc se povedl, ještě Ti musím vyseknout poklonu na domácí scéně... 🙂 Pívo holt příště 👍
12 April 2016, 18:00

That doesn´t look like a 1:72 at all. Rather like a 1:48! Great work! 😄
12 April 2016, 18:28

Christian, curiosity killed the cat. In fact I was writing my friend about my current stomach flu😉
12 April 2016, 18:50

ah now we know - good and speedy recovery Vladimir! Ah and by the way - excellent, clean and sharp work on your Stringbag. Looks very life like! What do you use for rigging?
Cheers, Christian
12 April 2016, 19:13

thanks all!
Christian, thanks. 0,12 fishing line, painted with Agama alcohol gunmetal. Strings are threaded though holes in the top wing. Same method on all my biplanes except the Gladiator.
12 April 2016, 19:16

Thx Vladimir, I use it too on my ship models. Have you ever heard of Rigg that Thing? A monofilament in different sizes made by Uschi.
12 April 2016, 19:25

Excellent modeling and photography. Looks like "quartersscale"!
13 April 2016, 17:18

I have had the Tamiya 1:48 floatplane in my loft since the time it was launched and never built it, i did not think my modelling skills were ready to tackle it (why did i buy it?) this is inspiring me to get a ladder out and find it
15 April 2016, 21:39

Alistair, Have you got the PE "brace wires" for the 1/48 kit, ?, and I believe they are bought separately, made by Tamiya
15 April 2016, 21:58

I must have had it somce my boys were about 13/15, so about 12/14 years old model
15 April 2016, 22:01

The Rigging 'wires' from Uschi are the thing to use for the ultimate result for sure. 🙂
15 April 2016, 22:01

I recently bought the eduard Fokker Eindeker to ease me into rigging.
15 April 2016, 22:02

I was inspired by a recent magazine article of the 1/72 Airfix eindekker but my eyes suit the larger scale, lol
15 April 2016, 22:15

Alistair, the PE brace wires from Tammy is indeed correct as they should be flat on the stringbag so you should use those instead of any other round thread/wire.
15 April 2016, 22:47

They were "aerodynamically" engineered steel strips, as seen on all "Tiger Moths" 🙂
15 April 2016, 23:02

Wonderful. Doesn't look like 1/72 at all. Superbly clean build and intricately detailed. 👍👍👍👍
16 April 2016, 08:05

marvellous detailling indeed, specially for a 1/72nd scale. you can be very proud of your model !!!!!
