Thanks Donald!
I am not completely satisfied with the weathering, I kinda feel like I went too far on the topside. But hey, it definitely looks well worn, and some of these babies get VERY dirty, so at least it is not unrealistic. I was just going for a little less, but it kinda got away from me. LOL

Nice work Michael. Although aircraft are not my preferred area, I like to look at pictures of them. And you build a really mean looking MiG.

Thanks Andy, Harry, Erik, James, David, Sören, and valiente! I really appreciate the kind words.

Excellent work mate, it's a piece of art 👍 I have that one in my stash as well....so how is the fit, tamiya like or sub tamiya 😉 ?

Thanks Murad, Jens, Sebastian, Marko, Eelco, and Stefan!
Sebastian, the fit is very good everywhere but the intakes can be a bit of a challenge. I kinda cheated by not installing the full engines and I modelled the FOD doors down. This allowed me to get a really nice fit of the rear intake trunking. Overall, I would consider the fit a notch below Tamiya, but that is still not a bad thing at all. I would put it on par with Hobby Boss.

Thx Michael! So there is something to look forward to - maybe I'll wait a bit though, the quality you delivered is quiet intimidating 😉 Again, great job! 👍

Well, Sebastian, after taking a look at the work you did on your Zero from June I don't think you should be intimidated by my work or anything! 🙂
I look forward to seeing you work on this kit, and feel free to ask me any specific questions when you do.

I think you did well with the weathering. Here is an example of an SMT (27 Red):

Thank you Thomas, Sarunas, Philip, Gavin, Anthony, Clifford, Maciej, Dale, Kerry, Ed, and Xander! I was away for the weekend and it is such a pleasure to return to so many wonderful comments and compliments. I really appreciate it!
Maciej, that is indeed one of the pics that I looked at when trying to decide how to weather my model. I also thought it was interesting to see the contrast in actual color of the grays in the two aircraft in this pic. Goes to show you, especially with Russian Aircraft, that actual color is not so important. It is all about what color you see with your eye, picking out what looks right to you, and going from there. That is what I did on mine, I just picked grays from my paint stash that looked about right for each color.

You can't trust those bloody Russians Michael. hahahaha🙂
Even when it comes to a simple lick of paint. 🙂

The one looks almost a very faded Flanker blue. So I guess you are right about the eye of the beholder. But then again I'm a blind old man. LOL.

She's a beauty! Your disruptive camo came out great and the completed build is so nice. A worthy display piece.

The Russians know how to build nice looking jets and you know how to build even better looking models of those jets. Congrats! 👍
