1February 3, 2019All the main parts glued and taped to ensure a good fitting.
2February 3, 2019Not as bad as it looked! A little filler needed on the wing roots.
3February 3, 2019All sanded and smoothed, along with a tiny bit of filler needed along the upper seam.
4February 3, 2019Damn!! Just realised that there is a gap on the leading edge wing root now!
5February 3, 2019Both outer nacelles needed a smattering of filler where they joined the wing.

8February 3, 2019All sanded down and smoothed now. Wings and tail all primed.
9February 3, 2019This is the primer I used - very cheap, but good quality. Thinned down with a bit of enamel thinners, it went on a dream. Brushed very smoothly indeed.

11February 3, 2019All done with no masking! A nice new, good quality brush, and a steady hand have done the job nicely!
12February 3, 2019Undersides painted in Tamiya X2 gloss white.

14February 3, 2019Upper grey now painted on. Humbrol 128 proved to be a near perfect match to the real thing.

19February 3, 2019Oryx head in place on tail, and nacelles. Port side Qatar title in place too.

This has been a very pleasing build indeed. Worst bit has to be the stencil/overwing line decal placing. Very fiddly!
